4.10.10. Enablingthe“STO”Function
The“STO”functionisalwaysenabledinthedriveregardlessofoperatingmodeorparameterchangesmadebytheuser.
4.10.11. Testingthe“STO”Function
Beforecommissioningthesystemthe“STO”functionshouldalwaysbetestedforcorrectoperation,thisshouldincludethefollowingtests:
Withthemotoratstandstill,andastopcommandgiventothedrive(asperthestartsourcemethodselectedinP113):
o Deenergisethe“STO”inputs(Drivewilldisplay““InHibit”).
o Giveastartcommand(asperthestartsourcemethodselectedinP113)andcheckthatthedrivestilldisplays“Inhibit”and
thattheoperationisinlinewiththesection4.10.4“STOOperation”andsection4.10.5“STO”StatusandMonitoring
Withthemotorrunningnormally(fromthe drive):
o Deenergisethe“STO”inputs
o Checkthatthedrivedisplays“InHibit”and
thatthemotorstopsandthattheoperationisinlinewiththesectionandsection
4.10.12. “STOFunctionMaintenance.
The“STO”functionshouldbeincludedwithinthecontrolsystemsscheduledmaintenanceprogramsothatthefunctionisregularlytestedfor
integrity(MinimumonceperYear),furthermorethefunctionshouldbeintegritytestedfollowinganysafetysystemmodificationsor
maintenancework.
